Embrace Life

Perhaps the best PSA I have ever seen for encouraging people to wear their seat belt.

Brilliant Advert, simple with an obviour message. This is a free country and as such we are glad that our Government occasionaly shows some sense and brings in laws for our own safety.I asume Cecil Kent is an American.

Roy, Don’t let Cecil fool you. I, like you, assume he is someone who lives in America, but I seriously doubt his patriotism.

Iunderstand the melodramatic artsy piece. Here’s my issue with it. I understand the safety factor that is being pushed here. But there is always an opposite point of view. I have been in three major car crashes. One my own fault fault, and two due to the negligent actions of others. In all three wrecks, I was not wearing a seatbelt. In all three cases, I would have been seriously injured or killed had I worn a seatbelt. Motorcycle drivers are allowed to ride without a helmit here, and they are in much more danger than someone in a car or truck. I as a driver should be allowed to make that decision at 18yrs old, for myself or as a passenger. Under 18yrs old “BUCKLE UP.” The real reason is 98% auto drivers to motorcycle drivers equaling more fines and more money and control over more people. For some great idea, not so for all,and sould not be forced on anyone over 18yrs of age! Oh I’m sorry I was under the illusion I lived a “FREE” country. You must be an Obama supporter!

Wow CK, I hope you do not mind my calling you CK, then again, I really don’t care.
Here is my issue with your issue. I noticed that the two accidents that were not caused by you [that is your story, you can spin it however you like] was “due to the negligent action of others”. However, the one you admit to being at fault was apparently legitimate?!? Maybe you hit your head harder then you thought, hence the rambling rhetoric you think we all want to read on these posts of yours. Then you have the gall to insinuate that this is not a free country. Might I recommend that you divorce yourself from your computer long enough to get out and see the real world. You know, the one your fellow Americans are putting their lives on the line every day to make sure you can continue to imagine your freedom and spew the words of a spoiled, Mommy and Daddy paid for, college education . Join the armed forces, fight for this freedom that you have apparently taken for granted, and then tell me that you’re not living in a free country.
