Facebook iPad Scam

The latest scam on Facebook tricks you into signing up for a Premium Text Service in order to receive a free iPad.  Apple isn’t giving away iPads for Free so protect yourself and your Facebook friends by not falling for this scam.  This video from Sophos Labs explains how the scam works.

If you want to take a further step to protect yourself from unknowingly signing up for a Premium Text Service call your cell phone provider and have them disable this feature.  If you don’t do this you should review your credit card statement every month for odd looking charges.
