Lillian was one of the women that served in the WASP during World War Two. She was a pilot and amateur photographer who happened to have one of the few cameras using color film. These are some of her color photographs from her WASP service. The female pilots of the WASP performed a valuable wartime service that should not be forgotten as unique as it was for the time.

I was fascinated with this video and would like to know if Lillian Yonally was still alive. I have collected WASP memorabilia for many years and would like to know if her photos are available.

I will try to find out if Lillian Yonally is still living. Have you been to the WASP Museum in Sweetwater, TX? It is still in its formative stages, but they might have those photos available. I loved the audio of the young women singing “Tell Me Why”.

Yes as of March 2010, Liliian Yonally was alive and well. She received the Medal of Honor at the WASP Ceremony. Here is a TV Interview. http://www.cbs6albany.com/news/lillian-1271785-down-women.html
