This political math video visualizes the Republican budget cuts to give us a little more perspective in a manner we can all understand. In response to the Republican proposal to cut $74 billion from the federal budget, Senator Harry Reid declared the cuts to be “unworkable” and “draconian”. But how bad are $74 billion in cuts when seen in the context of our $1.5 trillion deficit and 14 trillion dollars of National Debt? Anyone that’s every had too much to drink knows that dealing with the hangover isn’t any fun. Right now the governments hangover cure seems to be more of the hair of the dog that bit us.
