Store Buyout is an art project where five artists arrived at Hercules Fancy Grocery in NYC and bought every single item on the shelves. The total amount of the receipt was around $19,000 but the exact amount won’t be revealed until the original receipt is purchased. The current asking price is 1 Million dollars. Every item has been repurposed as art and will be sold online and for a limited time at the Store Buyout Gallery. Money from the art sales is going towards saving Hercules store.
