A large group of Trumpeter Swans Up Close and Personal early on a below-zero morning in Wisconsin. These swans stay over the entire winter, feeding on vegetation on a river bottom. The river is kept open by a running stream nearby. The swans are so close they actually step on the camera on a couple occasions. It was about -10 degrees F and even the well insulated swans quickly pull their feet under the feathers when not actually walking. The squeaking sound is the sound that snow makes when walking on it when it is super cold. If you enjoyed this you might also like to watch some Beavers Up Close and Personal.
