Naturalist and Grizzly Bear expert Casey Anderson shares with us an up close and personal look at his relationship with Brutus the Bear. Casey rescued Brutus and needed somewhere to place him so he founded the Montana Grizzly Encounter, a Grizzly Bear Rescue and Education Sanctuary. His work with bears is helping all of us to better understand these wonderful creatures. The Grizzly Bear is being removed from the Endangered Species Act as the bear population in and around Yellowstone National Park has increased from 200 in 1975 to somewhere around 800 today. It has taken 40 years to increase the bear population and I hope removing them from the Endangered Species Act doesn’t unwind all those years.
