An interesting look at how dogs keen sense of smell lets them see the world in an entirely different way than humans. The dog knows his environment based upon the smells that it contains. The dog’s nose and brain are configured to process these smells much like humans use their eyes to process our surroundings. I wish my dog’s brain would let it know that the deer poop that smells so good really doesn’t smell that good to us humans. After he rolls in it, I have to remind myself while he might be a dog of little brain he’s got a big heart.
