On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress established the United States Marine Corps to support the naval forces in the Revolutionary War. For 250 years, the Marine Corps has stood as the vanguard, keeping the promise to be first to fight, no matter the cost. Marines stationed across the globe commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps, honoring a distinguished legacy of service, sacrifice, and unwavering fidelity to both the nation and fellow Marines. We have fought in every clime and place, and we maintain readiness to continue to be America’s 9-1-1 anytime and anywhere we are called upon. Every Marine a Rifleman and Everyone Fights. Happy Birthday Marines and Semper Fidelis!
