North Dakota State Trooper Megan Christopher would have my vote for the Officer of the Year Award as she and her fellow law enforcement officers handled an extremely dangerous situation in an outstanding manner. When Army veteran Brock Savelkoul tried to attempt “Suicide By Cop” they could have easily shot him but instead exercised amazing restraint. They displayed the utmost compassion and professionalism in how they dealt with the situation. There are so many examples of police brutality and negativity towards law enforcement officers I am happy to share a positive story.
