The Crush is an Irish short film about eight-year-old Ardal Travis who has a crush on his teacher Ms. Purdy. Ardal shows his affection for her and isn’t very pleased with her choice of a fiance. The film was written and directed by first-timer Michael Creagh, and produced by Damon Quinn. The Crush was awarded Best Irish Short at the 23rd Foyle Film Festival as well as being nominated for an Academy Award for Live Action Short Film at the 83rd Academy Awards.
