The Griffon Roller Coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is the scariest roller coaster I’ve ever ridden. Keep in mind I’m not a thrill-seeker and I’m afraid of heights. I rode this terrifying beast one summer and I’m still not sure why I let myself get talked into it let alone ride in the front row. The Griffon Roller Coaster takes you up 205 feet high then hangs you over the edge for several seconds at a 90-degree angle. Then you drop straight down before going up to 71 mph with two inversions and other twists and turns of up to 4G’s.
