Mike completed two runs to honor 6,570 fallen US Servicemen and women by personally placing a flag for each of them at mile markers along his route. He placed the first 4,424 flags in 2010 when he ran from Astoria, Oregon to Rockland, Maine and placed the remaining 2,146 flags on his second run in 2012 that he completed on Veterans Day. An incredible man and tribute he has provided to those that gave all.
