Laura Moulton is the founder of the nonprofit organization “Street Books” which makes library books easily accessible to homeless people in Portland, Oregon. Moulton, a professor, is known to many as “The Street Librarian”. She transformed her bike into a mobile library to make sure that homeless people and other isolated communities have access to good literature and kind and stimulating conversations. She’s been biking around for years and have served over 5,000 patrons, many of which have become regulars at her library shifts.
