An interesting look at how One Million Christmas Trees are harvested in six weeks by a Christmas tree farmer in Oregon. With over 8,000 acres that comprise Holiday Tree Farms it is one of the largest Christmas tree farms in the world. They use helicopters to help expedite the harvesting of trees as it is faster to get the cut tree to the truck. I like the point made at the end of the video that fake trees end up in a landfill as they can’t be recycled like a real tree can. I throw my live tree into the woods behind my house each year as it makes good cover for birds and will eventually decompose.
