An interesting look at how Big Ben, London’s famous clock, keeps accurate time. Big Ben was commissioned by the British Parliament in 1854 and they specified that it should be the biggest and most powerful clock in the world. They also specified that the engineers should design it so that it was accurate to within 2 seconds each week. I loved how a simple penny provides the solution at the end of the video for getting the clock back on accurate time.
