This man obviously loves his girlfriend so when she vanishes he calls the police and shares his secret of the magical table with them in the hopes of finding her. I’m sure he’s going to be regretting the loss of his girlfriend and that magic that she brought to that basket and table. Maybe by the time he gets married he’ll learn the words to The Wife Song.
