If I had to guess what the oldest family business in Italy is this wouldn’t have been my answer. The Pontificia Fonderia Marinelli has been making handcrafted bells for the last 1000 years and is one of the top three oldest family businesses in the world. The 26th Generation of bell-makers are brothers Armando and Pasquale Marinelli who are the owners and operators of the Marinelli Pontifical Foundry. Their bells have a unique sound to them which they can recognize all over the world. I hope they have lots of kids so the family business will continue.
