Two Orangutans were recently rescued from a palm oil plantation by The Human Orangutan Conflict Response Unit (HOCRU). I found it interesting to learn that living in a palm oil plantation isn’t the best environment for an Orangutan as it doesn’t provide an essential diet for long term survival. Thankfully this rescue organization based in Sumatra, Indonesia is doing everything they can to rescue and relocate these wonderful creatures to a better habitat.
