Today’s Idiot of the Day award goes to an off-duty Border Patrol agent who started a massive wildfire in Arizona. The Sawmill Fire started when this firearms mastermind decided it would be a good idea to shoot at an explosive target as part of a gender reveal party. The Arizona Daily Star was able to obtain a video of the incident from the U.S. Forest Service. The fire burned 47,000 acres and costs 8.2 million dollars. For his efforts, the Border Patrol agent was fined $220,000 when he plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of causing a fire without a permit. There goes the kid’s college fund.
