The wonderful story of Corporal Bill Wynne and his little Yorkshire terrier “Smoky” that he bought for $6.44 during World War Two. Bill Wynne was serving on New Guinea when he adopted Smoky. They quickly became best friends and helped each other survive the war. Smoky has been recognized as the first therapy dog for her work with wounded soldiers. Smoky crossed the Rainbow Bridge to Dog Heaven in 1957 at the age of 14.
