I had no idea that there was such a creature as the Giant Otter but I wasn’t surprised to learn they live in South America. The giant otters live in The Pantanal, the largest tropical wetland on earth that is located mainly in Brazil. These amazing creatures are expert fishers and can grow to be almost two meters long! Unfortunately, the giant otter is an endangered species on the IUCN Red List due to threats to their habitat from humans. I hope they find a way to adapt and survive.
