An interesting look at why people stopped buy Crisco and started cooking with something else. I grew up watching my Mom cook foods and bake delicious desserts using Crisco so I had never given much thought to what it was actually made of. I still use the current version of Crisco when I bake Oatmeal Cookies using my Mom’s original recipe and they taste wonderful.
