Tactical cliff assaults have been challenging since the Army Rangers assaulted the cliffs at Normandy on D-Day to capture Pointe du Hoc from the German defenders. The Gravity Jet Suit could make cliff assaults more feasible by placing the soldier deploying rope access on top of the cliffs quicker. The flight path in the exercise hand-railed the terrain purely from a safety perspective. Watch Royal Marines Jet Suit Boarding to see another video of this technology in action.
