Certified ice-rescue instructor Luc Mehl enjoyed a rare and beautiful moment in nature when he and his wife skated an “ice window” on Rabbit Lake, Alaska. The uncommon phenomenon, in which ice is free of snow and clear as glass, lasted a week.
