Hurricane Helene left a trail of devastation across the Appalachian region when it moved inland on September 27, 2024. This exclusive drone footage captured by Jordan Nelson of Nelson Aerial Productions reveals the destruction, resilience, and recovery from above. Jordan drove more than 2,000 miles across the hardest-hit areas of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, documenting the devastation while also assisting with search and rescue operations, property and welfare checks, and damage assessments.
