On November 10, 1775, the Second Continental Congress established the United States Marine Corps to support the naval forces in the Revolutionary War. For 251 years, Marines have stood ready to fight and win our Nation’s battles. Across every clime and place, Marines remain ready to be the first to fight whenever and wherever our Nation needs them.
