Captain William Mahoney, an AV-8B pilot in the United States Marine Corps, describes what it’s like to land a Harrier when you’re missing the front landing gear. The landing shown in the video took place on the USS Bataan (LHD 5) which thankfully had a custom built stool on hand for just such a landing. I’m glad nobody was injured and that the aircraft wasn’t damaged during this landing.
