An interesting look at the building of the GSK wind turbine in Cork, Ireland from the ground up. These wind turbines are massive projects that require quite a bit of concrete and other materials to build. These wind turbines can be assembled in as little as 3 weeks from start to finish although this one took several months to complete. This wind turbine will supply about 30% of the energy used by GSK at this site. One can only hope the energy produced by a wind turbine outweighs the cost to build one over it’s useful life.
