Rick Mercer reports on the Ice Pilots of Buffalo Air from Yellowknife, NWT in Canada. These intrepid pilots and crew that support them in dangerously cold weather fly cargo into remote areas where it’s impractical to build a road. As if that wasn’t difficult enough they do it using the C-46 Commando originally built by Curtiss-Wright for use as a transport aircraft during World War Two. I’d say Buffalo Joe has built himself a fine airline indeed.
