A look at the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue courtesy of Rick Mercer who spent a day with them on the water in Nanaimo, British Columbia. I was surprised to learn that this is an all volunteer rescue force. After watching Rick rescue Oscar the Dummy I hope they don’t let him volunteer as I think it will seriously degrade their rescue efforts.
