The Israel Institute of Technology, Technion, has a unique program that’s like a preschool for guide dogs. The program matches a puppy that has been selected for further training as a guide dog with a student at Technion for 18 months. After that time the dog is ready for advanced training and will leave the program to pursue a higher degree.
