Marshmallow Farmer Ben Yokum shares with us the struggles of marshmallow farming in North Carolina. I had never given much thought to the struggles of marshmallow farmers as they try to raise this cash crop that many of us just take for granted. I did an extensive follow-up on this story and found that the rains were simply too much for Farmer Ben to endure so he sold his marshmallow farm and moved to Ravenstoke Alaska where he reports he is a much happier man.
