If you have a dog then you might recognize some of the characteristics that Bryan Lewis sings about in his song “I Think My Dog’s a Democrat”. While it’s true that I provided housing, healthcare, and food for my dogs I don’t think they’re democrats because they provide loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love to me. Those traits are seldom seen in politicians. If I ever catch my dogs trying to vote in a new owner we’re going to have a problem, but I don’t think it’ll come to that as they know they have a good life.
