Inside A Twinkie Factory

Take a peek inside a Hostess foods factory with Popular Mechanics to see how Twinkies, cupcakes, and donettes are made. It’s hard to resist eating a Twinkie when one is in front of you as they are delicious. The Twinkie was created in 1930 and originally had banana filling but due to a banana shortage during World War Two the filling was changed to vanilla. Hostess produces roughly 500,000,000 Twinkies a year, or roughly 1,000 a minute using a system of automated machinery.
