A Canadian couple performed an act of kindness for a Veteran they found sleeping along a highway in the middle of winter. Mike and Caroline Trueman stopped to offer Ernie Jesso a ride and discovered he’d been hiking and sleeping outside in the cold for several days. They drove him to his home in the backwoods and when they saw how grateful Ernie was to be home it made them appreciate everything they had even more. The 34-year veteran of the Canadian military suffers from PTSD and lives with his friend Skipper the Cat in his makeshift home in the woods. Ernie and Mike have become friends and Mike is helping Ernie to improve his living situation.
