If you fancy yourself to be Paul Bunyan then you probably have no need for an Industrial Wood Splitter as you’ll just use your muscles and axe to split your logs. I still like to think I’ve got what it takes to split wood the old fashioned way so earlier this year I did some research on wood splitting axes. The two that I thought were the best choices were the Gransfors Bruks Splitting Maul and the Fiskars X27 Super Splitting Axe. The Grandfors is a classic beauty from Sweden but it’s also much more expensive than the Fiskars Axe. I chose the Fiskars axe for now but am saving up for a Grandfors axe.
