An interesting video of a Pileated Woodpecker hard at work making a cavity in a dead tree that had been topped and left standing just for a woodpecker to make a home. This particular woodpecker had his eye on this piece of real estate in the woods for several months and would visit occasionally to check it out. One day he got serious about moving in and the photographer was able to capture the process of the woodpecker at work.
