You might be surprised by what happens when a police officer goes undercover as a disabled man in a rough part of the city. The Vancouver Police Department conducted Operation Wheelchair in response to two knifepoint robberies of victims in wheelchairs. S/Sgt Mark Horsely posed as a cognitively disabled person and worked the streets to try and stop the crime. I think he was pleasantly surprised by the caring and compassion he found when he placed himself in this community.
