Bullet-Proof Origami Shield

Mechanical Engineers at BYU are working to create a folding Kevlar shield for use by law enforcement agencies.

These researchers at Brigham Young University have created an Origami design for a Kevlar shield that is capable of stopping bullets from a handgun. I realize all the armchair experts out there will be critical of this saying it doesn’t stop high powered rifle rounds or RPG’s but when someone is shooting at you some cover is better than no cover at all. I hope they continue their work and improve the shield.
